AAH Dispenser of The Year Awards in association with Buttercups Training and the Dispensing Doctors' Association

 

These awards aim to celebrate the contribution of Dispensary Assistants and Dispensary Technicians across the UK. Day-in and day-out, these dedicated professionals provide their expertise to the local community, offering exceptional value to their practice and outstanding service to their  patients. We believe this valuable contribution should be celebrated! 

 

The winners of the awards represent the highest standards of professional excellence, knowledge and service.

They receive a generous package that includes:

 

  • Technical Certificate in Pharmacy Services or £500 worth of Buttercups training vouchers 

  • An engraved trophy 

  • A framed certificate 

  • Accommodation for you and a guest at the DDA Annual Conference and Gala Dinner

DispensingTechnician Award

Rewarding Dispensing Technicians for dedication and hard work at the heart of the community. 

All entrants must complete an assignment on a medical condition that represents a particular area of interest. 

To ensure that your entry is valid, please make sure that your submission covers the following points:

 

The background to the disease, including causes, what happens to the body, typical patient profile and common symptoms

The use of drugs in the management of the disease/pharmacological management of the disease.

Mention which drugs might be used and explain why.

You might want to give details of their dosages, routes of administration, how they act and possible side effects and interactions.

If appropriate, discuss use of potential new treatments, other actions that can help patients to manage their condition, eg patient education, lifestyle changes or issues that may affect compliance

How you have used your knowledge on this disease area to benefit patients in your Practice or how you may be able to do this in the future

Remember to include details of all reference sources used.

The maximum word count for the whole assignment is 700 words.

 

Dispensing Assistant Award

This award category is open to all Dispensing Assistants.

All entrants must complete an assignment on a medical condition that represents a particular area of interest.

The Dispenser of the Year Awards were introduced in 2007 by the AAH Dispensing Doctors Service Team. The aim of these awards is to reward the dedication of this section of the medical profession and to highlight the essential role Dispensers play.
