Historically Category M of the Drug Tariff, has been published at the end of the first week in the month preceding the next quarter.
Recently this publication schedule appears to have lapsed and become unpredictable.
Previously NHSRxS has told DDA Online that publication delay is because the Department of Health has failed to tell NHSRxS to publish or delays in receiving the new data.
The PSNC are also not carrying the price changes yet.
However the NHSRxS website carried the following story yesterday.
Contractors should note that Aspirin 75mg tablets (28 pack) will remain in the Drug Tariff as a category C item but it will be based on Alissa Healthcare instead of Angettes 75 from July 2010. It will not be deleted as indicated in the Drug Tariff preface in June 2010.
The following products were given advanced notice in the June 2010 Drug Tariff preface that they would be changing from Category C to Category A. However in the July 2010 they will be Category M
