Price changes

Various prices have been updated in the February Drug Tariff. Contractors should make sure when placing orders in February for products listed in Part VIIIB, that their chosen supplier has updated their prices in line with the February Drug Tariff.

Contractors should be careful to ensure that any prescriptions received in January are submitted promptly for payment with January's prescriptions, to avoid the risk of items being reimbursed at the February Drug Tariff price.

Deletion of Clobazam 5mg/5ml and 10mg/5ml oral solution

Due to the nature of the ingredient, Clobazam liquid can only be manufactured as an oral suspension, and not as an oral solution. As such the listings for Clobazam oral solutions have been removed from Part VIIIB.

Deletion of Ramipril 2.5mg/5ml oral solution

A newly licensed Ramipril 2.5mg/5ml oral solution preparation is now available, manufactured by Rosemont Pharmaceuticals; as such the listing for Ramipril 2.5mg/5ml oral solution has been removed from Part VIIIB and will be moved to Part VIIIA. A note in Part VIIIB signposting the amendment, will only remain for one month.
