Dr Susan Fairweather - DDA Welsh representative
After qualifying from the Welsh National School of Medicine, Cardiff, Susan Fairweather undertook a couple of years of general medicine before going into General Practice.
In 1987 she got married and moved to Monmouthshire. Initially she worked as a freelance GP before becoming a partner in a practice in the market town of Usk. The practice has 4,300 patients and dispense to 2,500 of them.
As well as being a member of the DDA Board, Sue is a member of GPC (Wales) and Gwent LMC. She is also treasurer of BMA Gwent Division and on the steering committee for Welsh Medicines Resource Centre (WeMeReC).
