DDA members and previous DDA annual conference delegates should look out this week for their 2017 conference invitation letter.
The conference invitation gives information on the speaker line-up for the 2017 annual conference with the theme of ‘Dispensing: the power behind rural general practice’.
The DDA is delighted to be able to announce that among its speaker line-up is Dr David Bailey, GPC policy lead for dispensing issues, who recently told the newly-elected BMA chair Dr Chaand Nagpaul of the need to make reimbursement regulations for dispensing doctors “fit for purpose once again”.
Also speaking on dispenser training issues is Buttercups’ managing director Vanessa Kingsbury, who will speak on the implications for dispensing practices of the new apprenticeship levy, and Department of Health principal pharmacist Susan Grieve, who will give the view from the Department of Health.
In the letter, practices will learn that pre-bookings for conference delegate places are already 44 per cent up on this time last year. Free tickets valued at £699+VAT are available for qualifying delegates while bursaries last.
