A 23-year-old woman has presented her contraception prescription for dispensing when she asks for a quiet word. She says that she has heard that there are now tablets available that she could take to reduce her chance of contracting HIV. You start to explain about safe sex and barrier methods, but she cuts you short insisting that it is not always possible for her to take such precautions.

How would you respond to this woman?
