DDA member practice Haworth Medical Practice has contributed to an Outstanding rating for the Modality Partnership (AWC).
Haworth is one of 10 branch surgeries within the group, alongside the main practice
Contributing to the Outstanding rating for leadership, inspectors highlighted the use of standard operating procedures for dispensary deliveries.
They also noted:
- clear meetings structure in place which offered staff the opportunity to engage.
- plans to offer tailored induction
- regular supportive meetings, peer to peer support sessions, reviews of competencies and training.
The practice was also rated outstanding for its responsiveness. It was good on all other measures.
East Sussex-based DDA member Heathfield Surgery has been rated good for effective services, but as requires improvement overall. Inspectors found the dispensary met standards and had improved its management of emergency medicines.
St Austell dispensing practice The Clays Practice is also rated as requires improvement. Inspectors noted only partial evidence of dispensary specific SOPs, and compliance with cold chain management and prescription signing arrangements.
