Local Vaccination Service providers intending to participate in the next round of Covid vaccination have until 17.00 hours on Thursday 14th July to indicate their interest.

NHS England guidance on the ‘Site designation and onboarding process’ says that GP practices should let their local commissioner/system know of their willingness to participate in the enhanced service (ES). The local commissioner will then provide administrative support to the commissioner (NHS England).

The July 14th deadline also applies to pharmacy contractors currently commissioned to provide vaccinations under the phase 3 local enhanced service (LES), including paused sites. Their participation will be subject to population need and capacity being required.

Pharmacy contractors not currently commissioned under the phase 3 LES can also express an interest in delivering services under the ES subject to population need regardless of whether they have participated in previous phases of the COVID-19 vaccination programme or not. Their deadline is July 20th.

It is expected that Phase 5 of the Covid-19 vaccination will see vaccines delivered from September 5th to the end of the year.
