GPs in Scotland are advised to expect letters explaining the financial impact of the new Scottish GP contract early this week.
Rural GP Association of Scotland (formerly RPAS) members will be invited to take part in a survey to collate information on the impact on RGPAS members’ practices.
RGPAS has also published its response to the GP contract offer.
BMA roadshows to support the new contract in Scotland continue from Tuesday 28 November in the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland. The views are a chance to get more information about the negotiations and to give your views on proposals to review dispensing services.
This comes ahead of a profession poll taking place between Thursday 7 December and Thursday 4 January, administered by Electoral Reform Services. This will be open to all GPs and GP trainees working in Scotland and joining details will be available from the BMA, and from DDA Online.
LMC reps will discuss the proposed new contract for GPs in Scotland including the issues of sustainable funding and reducing risk in a special one-day conference for LMC reps in Scotland. This takes place on Friday 1 December between 9:15am and 4:15pm. The event will be webcast live via the BMA website. This also features frequently asked questions on the new Scottish GP contract.
