NHS England has published the Enhanced Service specification for the seasonal influenza vaccination programme 2022/23.
The specification sets out remuneration of £10.06 for the administration of each influenza vaccination.
To be eligible for payment, practices must sign up to the service before 31 August 2022 at 23:59. Payment and activity recording will be managed using the Calculating Quality Reporting Service (CQRS). Participating practices must sign-up to CQRS by no later than 30 September 2022 23:59.
Vaccines for all patients aged six months to 17 years of age should be ordered online from ImmForm as per other centrally supplied children’s vaccines. Practices will not be reimbursed for vaccines supplied free of charge via ImmForm.
Eligible patient cohorts include, from 15 October 2022 only, those patients aged 50 to 64 years not in clinical risk groups.
For all eligible patients, recommended QIV vaccines for influenza vaccination should be ordered directly from manufacturers, and submitted to NHS BSA for reimbursement.
