A woman with a prescription for her husband’s arthritis medication confides in you that he has been diagnosed with early stage kidney failure, and sighs that with his raised blood pressure – albeit under control – it is a constant reminder of how they are getting old. You commiserate and she asks if her husband’s effervescent analgesics could be contributing to his indigestion. She then dismisses her own remark, saying that the pain relief is effective and she will just pick up some heartburn liquid when she next goes to the supermarket.
