The medicines supply notice (MSN) states that generic versions of sulfasalazine 500mg gastro-resistant tablets remain available.

Clinicians are asked to consider prescribing sulfasalazine 500mg gastro-resistant tablets generically and dispensary teams should counsel patients regarding the switch from branded to generic at the point of dispensing
