There are a number of MHRA alerts and recalls to be aware of:

  • Accord UK Limited is recalling all unexpired stock of Gliclazide 40 mg tablets (Northstar Livery) due to dissolution concerns.
  • Accord Healthcare has advised of missing patient Information Leaflet (PIL) for all strengths of Atrolak XL prolonged-release tablets (quetiapine). Replacement complete PILs for Atrolak XL are available from the electronic medicines compendium (emc).
  • FMD compliant packs of  Beconase Aqueous Nasal Spray (beclometasone dipropionate 50μg) from batch number K84X will produce a status of ‘destroyed’ when decommissioned at the pharmacy. Although there is no risk to product quality, any remaining stock should be quarantined and returned.
