Two practices no longer dispensing

The Welsh dispensing practice network has lost two practices, according to NHS Wales data.

As of February 2017, there are 81 Welsh dispensing practices, with average list sizes of 6,340 (including temporary residents), including an average per practice of 2,417 dispensing patients and 3,923 non dispensing patients.

This represents an average list size increase per practice of 2.6 per cent for dispensing and 0.9 per cent for non dispensing practices, compared to the list size count in September 2016

The average list size of non dispensing practices in Wales now stands at 6,391 – an increase of 6 per cent on the patient list size count in September 2016 and of 6,316 patients, including 2,355 dispensing and 3,961 prescribing patients. This compares to the average prescribing practice list size of 6,022 patients.
