Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) has announced a temporary suspension in new, routine work associated with its adapted quality check and inspection activity in the NHS until the end of January 2021, when the decision will be reviewed.

The decision reflects current and anticipated pressure on services in Wales due the COVID-19 pandemic.

Broader assurance work will continue during this period.
