Press Release: DDA calls for dispensing GP funding equity

The DDA has again urged policymakers to ensure GP dispensing fees recognise the increased GP dispensary operational costs taking effect from today (April 1, 2025).

Without increased funding for the associated employer costs, dispensing GPs will be left with no choice but to cross-subsidise this operation, diverting funding from other NHS GP services. Many have already considered closing their dispensaries.
