10 more products on DND list

Ten new products will be added to the ‘Drugs for which Discount is Not Deducted’ (DND) list from 1 May 2024.

DND concession does not apply to dispensing GPs and clawback will be applied. Dispensing GPs are strongly advised to ensure they are up to date with any MDS associated with these products.

There are now over 630 products with DND status.

The DDA election manifesto highlights the problems for dispensing GPs caused by out-of-date clawback and dispensing fee mechanisms and asks for a fair dispensary pay deal that rewards rural practices for meeting the increasing pharmaceutical needs of the rural ageing population.
