Alert: azithromycin 250 mg capsules

Jubilant Pharmaceuticals NV has issued an alert for 11 batches of azithromycin 250 mg capsules due to an out of date PIL.

Faulty PILs are dated as revised in October 2021, and do not feature the ‘What you need to know before you take’ information.

The latest approved PIL is dated February 2025 and is available from the MHRA.

Patients should continue to take medicines from the impacted batches as prescribed.
