Alert: WockAIR 160 microgram/4.5 microgram, inhalation powder

Wockhardt UK Limited is recalling one batch of WockAIR 160 microgram/4.5 microgram, inhalation powder (budesonide/formoterol fumarate dihydrate).

The affected batch is  

This is a precautionary measure due to a defect in the ‘top case’ of some units in this batch, resulting in dose failure.

Healthcare professionals are asked to quarantine all remaining stock and return it to your supplier using your supplier’s approved process.

Patients that have an unopened inhaler from the batch in the table are advised to test the inhaler is working before their current inhaler runs out. The defect will be obvious from the first attempted use of the product as the inhaler would not provide a dose. Affected patients should return the item for replacement.

Unaffected patients should continue using their device.
