DDA 2025 conference programme published

Headlining the DDA 2025 Annual Conference is keynote speaker, health policy commentator and writer Roy Lilley, the DDA has announced.

Publishing the DDA's 2025 conference programme, DDA CEO Matthew Isom said: “I'm delighted that Roy has accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker at our conference. Roy came from business to chair one of the first NHS Trust hospitals in the 1990s.  Since then, he has become a regular presence in the media, using his regular blog NHSmanagers.net, to dissect and analyse health policy. He has spoken at our conference several times and is always insightful and thought-provoking.  With the abolition of NHS England, the NHS 10-year plan, and a new GP contract on the horizon, now is the perfect time to hear from Roy again.”

The 2025 DDA conference takes place at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 September 2025.

Other highlights include a forensic analysis of primary care funding by DDA Board Member Dr David Jenner, who will wield his scalpel to expose the truth about GP funding, prescription submission hints and tips, the DDA chairman's address and AGM.

Both returning by popular demand are the DDA Quiz and the free drinks reception at the end of Day 1. The conference closes with a look at using data to improve dispensary viability by DDA Board Member Dr Philip Koopowitz.

There will also be an extended exhibition space offering access to the widest range of suppliers - all under one roof.

Delegate booking is now open and already over 100 places have been taken. Registration is free for DDA members, while spaces remain. Delegates are urged to book soon!
