Feeling down, sad or fed up is a part of everyday life. However, if someone has depression, a common mental health condition, the feelings become overwhelming and symptoms persist for weeks (more than two) or even months.
In 2022, moderate to severe depressive symptoms were experienced by around one in six adults aged 16 and over – a higher rate than before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This training, available free and exclusively to DDA members, is designed to provide practice dispensary staff with background information on depression, its management and support you can offer patients to help them better manage their condition.
Throughout the training, you will find various activities to help reinforce your learning. Ten, multiple choice questions at the end will help you identify any areas needing a quick recap and there is a CPD certificate to download for your records.
