DDA CEO Matthew Isom has raised the issue of dispensing at a loss in the latest edition of PS Magazine.
Highlighting the DDA's RAMP UP campaign, Isom urges readers to contact local politicians to ensure that rural and remote dispensing GP practices remain sustainable.
He said: "If dispensing at a loss is not resolved, it could not only see the end of the dispensary, but possibly the rest of the practice. You are probably the last public service left in your community."
The article, published by PSUK, also touches on the abolition of NHS England, rural practice challenges, and the need to rural proof GP and dispensing contracts.
