The increasing cost pressures on dispensing practice have been highlighted by the DDA in a drop-in meeting with cross party MPs.
Facilitated by Labour MP (Buckingham & Bletchley) Callum Anderson, the meeting saw DDA senior leaders meet with MPs including Shadow Health & Social Care Secretary Damian Hinds and Health Select Committee member Joe Robertson MP (Con, Isle of Wight East) and Steff Aquarone, LibDem MP for North Norfolk. MPs were given a hand-out produced by the DDA summarising the financial challenges facing dispensing GPs, reflecting the findings of the 2026 CMO report for England: Health in rural areas and small towns.
