DDA publishes Dispensary Risk Assessment

The DDA has published a dispensary risk assessment covering risk assessment and event prevention advice in 13 areas.

This assessment covers the following areas:

• Incorrect Patient Identification
• Controlled Drugs
• Refrigerated Medicines
• Stock Management
• Staffing and Competence
• Information Governance and Confidentiality
• Security of Medicines and Prescription Forms
• IT and System Failure
• Delivery and Collection Services
• Personally Administered Medicines  
• Fire, Flood and Premises Failure
• Staffing Disruption and Major Incidents
