DDA publishes four videos to support dispensing lobby

The DDA has published four films to support the publication of its latest briefing paper: Dispensing Practice in England - Addressing the disparities

The films take a look at the disparities in dispensing GP funding, dispensing GP IT and dispensing quality incentives, compared to community pharmacies. 

The briefing paper makes 10 recommendations for DHSC/NHSE: 

• Support dispensing GPs with an emergency stabilisation payment
• Establish a New Dispensing Contract
• Fair Baseline Funding Before Reform
• Implement Reform of Drug Reimbursement Costs
• Reform the Discount Abatement (Clawback) System
• Modernise the Dispensing Services Quality Scheme (DSQS)
• Fund the Electronic Prescription Service in dispensing GPs
• Create a Digital and Automation Innovation Fund
• Support Workforce Sustainability and Efficiency
• Reinstate IT Infrastructure Funding for Dispensing Practices.
