Dispensary management contributes to CQC outstanding rating

The well-managed dispensary at a Spalding dispensing practice has contributed to a CQC outstanding rating.

Gosberton Medical Centre in Lincolnshire received outstanding ratings in the effective and responsive lines of enquiry.

Inspectors said the practice was appropriately staffed for its approximately 8,250 registered patients. Dispensary staff received training and appraisals and managed medicines well.

However, they also received feedback from care homes relating to delays in receiving medicines.

The assessment took place in August 2025, and the report was published in March 2026. This followed an assessment in 2024 which had resulted in a warning notice.
