Regulations restricting the prescribing and supply of puberty-suppressing hormones will be made indefinite. There were due to expire at the end of December.
The Medicines (Gonadotrophin-Releasing Hormone Analogues) (Restrictions on Private Sales and Supplies) Order 2024 will come into force on 1 January 2025 to follow on from the current emergency order. This will be reviewed in 2027.
