November 8th 2024
The Government has made The Medicines (Gonadotrophin-Releasing Hormone Analogues) (Emergency Prohibition) (Extension) (No. 2) Order 2024, which has the effect of extending the ban, which was due to expire.
The ban has now been extended until 31 December 2024.
A consultation took place in 2023 into the use of these medicines. The aim of the extension is to allow the Government time to consider the next steps, including to make the ban permanent.
The ban was previously extended in August.
