Special funding for rural GPs is among the election pledges voiced by the Lib Dems in their 2024 election manifesto
In the election document, the Lib Dems have pledged to create a Strategic Small Surgeries Fund to sustain services in rural and remote areas.
Other pledges include developing the Pharmacy First service, review prescription charge exemptions and improve faster access to new and novel medicines and medical devices.
There are also pledges to improve the primary care estate and boost cancer, mental health, public health and dental services.
