Miles takes up top health post in Wales

First minister for Wales Eluned Morgan has announced her first Cabinet.

Jeremy Miles MS (Neath) (pictured) has been appointed cabinet secretary for health and Social Care.

The former education minister was among those competing to be Wales' first minister.

He was born and brought up in Pontarddulais: the ward is part of the City and County of Swansea, which adjoins the village of Hendy in Carmarthenshire.

Taking on the role of cabinet secretary for climate change and rural affairs is Huw Irranca-Davies MS (Ogmore).

Former health secretary Mark Drakeford MS takes over responsibility for finance and Welsh language.
