October 23rd 2026
The DHSC has been asked about allowing GP practices to participate in the MenB vaccination catch-up programme alongside community pharmacies.
In response to a question from Joe Robertson, Conservative MP for Isle of Wight East, pharmacy minister Dame Diana Johnson answered: "NHS England will continue to review community pharmacy coverage and will support supplementary provision in areas with limited community pharmacy coverage.
"The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has now also provided the Government with a recommendation and additional considerations for a future ongoing routine MenB adolescent vaccination programme.
"Any decisions on those recommendations will be announced in the normal way in due course, including in relation to operational delivery."
