Alert: irbesartan 150 mg and 300 mg film-coated tablets

Some 16 batches of Jubilant Pharmaceuticals irbesartan 150 mg and 300 mg film-coated tablets are the subject of an alert relating to missing safety information in the PILs (warnings and precautions and possible side effects).

Affected packs contain a PIL dated September 2015. The latest current approved PIL is dated August 2022. Current PILs are available to download online.

Healthcare professionals are asked to advise patients of the PIL issue and to direct patients to the updated PIL. Best practice is to provide the patient with the updated PIL.

Patients should continue to take medicines from the impacted batches as prescribed.
