Conservatives pledge rural NHS focus

For the first time the NHS Constitution will reflect the bespoke healthcare needs of rural and coastal communities and the need for the NHS to tailor services accordingly.

That is a key pledge from the Conservatives in their 2024 Manifesto.

The manifesto makes explicit promises for rural areas, including investment in transport, broadband and GP premises improvement.

The plan also promises fairer funding for rural areas through the Rural Services Delivery Grant.
