DDA publishes dispenser training on hypertension

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, affects a third of UK adults and is the leading cause of disability and premature death, causing 350 preventable heart attacks or strokes every day.

This training, available free and exclusively to DDA members, is designed to provide practice dispensary staff with background information on the diagnosis and management of hypertension.

By the end of this training, dispensers will:

Be aware of the different classes of hypertension
Recognise the causes and risk factors associated with hypertension
Understand how to manage hypertension via lifestyle management and medication

Throughout this training, you will find various activities to help reinforce your learning. Ten, multiple choice questions at the end will help you identify any areas needing a quick recap. There is also a certificate of completion for your CPD records
