DDA responds to Welsh PNA consultation

The DDA has highlighted the value of including dispensing practices in Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments.

Unlike in England, the Welsh regulations, the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services) (Wales) Regulations 2020, consider the GP dispensing service a pharmaceutical service. This ensures that the full range of community pharmacy and dispensing practice services are considered as part of the application process.

This is the first review of PNAs in Wales, which takes place every five years.
