Disallowed item guidance from NHS BSA

The latest issue of Hints and Tips (Issue 60), published by NHSBSA, includes two items for dispensing GPs in England & Wales:

Disallowed items: Please note:

community nurse prescribers may only prescribe items from the Nurse Prescribers’ Formulary in Drug Tariff Part XVIIB(i)
dentists may only prescribe items listed in the dental formulary found in Drug Tariff Part XVIIA on FP10(D) forms
appliances and chemical reagent items must be listed in Drug Tariff Part IX.

NHS Health Exemption Services: NHS BSA has also published toolkits and promotional materials to help healthcare professionals promote NHS Health Exemption Services.
