Primary medical services prompted a “prominent increase” in the volume of feedback received by the CQC during 2021/22, the CQC annual report has stated.
Drivers such as the CQC’s 'Because we all care' campaign, as well as the Give Feedback on Care service produced a 51 per cent increase in the volume of feedback received across all sectors, compared to 2020/21. This equates to an increase of more than 20,000 pieces of feedback, says the CQC, totalling 64,000.
The report also shows that the CQC received 17,937 whistleblowing enquiries during the year – a 13.3 per cent increase from 2020/21. Some 5 per cent of these enquiries relates to primary medical services.
Some 38 per cent of services indicated that workforce pressures had had a negative impact on them, and 27 per cent highlighted a delay in people accessing health care.
