MSNs: Daktacort & Mesalazine

DHSC has issued two tier 2 medicine supply notifications (MSNs):

Daktacort (hydrocortisone 1% / miconazole 2%) cream: has been discontinued with remaining supplies due to be exhausted by the end of May 2024. Alternative antifungal cream formulations in combination with hydrocortisone (0.5% or 1%) remain available and can support increased demand.
Mesalazine (Asacol) 400mg MR gastro-resistant tablets: pack size 84 has been discontinued and stocks are expected to be exhausted from late April 2024. Mesalazine (Octasa MR) 400mg tablets remain available and can support a full uplift in demand.
