Scottish GPs are told that routine COVID testing for symptomatic team members will end, and self-isolation rules will be replaced with the general “stay at home” guidance that the general population currently follows.
This advice is to stay at home where possible until the infection becomes asymptomatic.
In a circular, NHS Scotland explains that the change recognises that Scotland continues to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic and has entered a calmer phase of the pandemic.
Routine COVID-19 testing will remain for patients awaiting discharge into care homes and other settings.
