The DDA has been consulted on proposals to remove erectile dysfunction medications tadalafil and vardenafil from the SLS.
Both medications are widely available as generics and removing SLS restrictions will benefit patients who do not tolerate sildenafil.
In addition, the Department proposes adding Cialis and Levitra to the SLS, due to the comparatively higher cost of branded medicines.
The DDA has no objections to the proposals which widen the options for men already seeking treatment for this condition.
